Wireless Xbox 360 without dropping a $100

I bought my brother an Xbox 360 for Christmas. Live is one of my favorite parts about the 360. Unfortunately, he put it in a room nowhere near his router, but an Xbox wireless adapter is $100. After some googling we found an easy solution by piecing together some Instructables posts. He’s got a desktop PC running Windows XP, with a wireless adapter, hooked up to the same TV. By sharing the wireless internet connection, the Xbox 360 was online in no time.

  1. Go to the Control Panel

  2. Right click on the wireless connection and under the Advanced tab, check the Internet Connection Sharing option

  3. Plug an Ethernet cable into the Xbox and the computer

  4. Right click on the wired connection in the bottom right of the screen(in the notification bar) of the PC and click repair
